The Woodville District Baseball Club Inc.

is seeking Expressions of Interest for the position of

Club Coach for the 2016/17 season

 

The club is looking for an experienced coach with the passion, drive and experience to take a talented young squad through to the finals and the ultimate success.

The successful applicant, who could be either a playing or non-playing coach, will have the drive, leadership and communication skills required to realise our shared vision for on field success.

The Club Coach will be accountable for:

þ         Heading the senior coaching panel

þ         Setting the strategy for all coaches and team managers within the club

þ         Coaching and Directing the Div 1 team.

þ         Planning, managing and delivering Div 1 & 2 training sessions

þ         Providing support to the club’s junior program as required

þ         Regular reporting to the club Board.

 

The application process will be as follows:

þ               Please send an email to the Chairman expressing interest in the position. The email should detail your key coaching achievements, the knowledge, skills and values that you would bring to the position, and importantly your plan for the playing success of the Club.

þ               The expressions of interest will be assessed by the Coaching Appointment Sub-committee and a short list prepared. Short-listed applicants will be provided with a more detailed position description and will be invited to be interviewed by the Sub-Committee.

þ              The Sub-Committee will provide recommendations to the WDBC Board for their consideration and decision.

Expressions of interest for coaching positions close on May 30th 2016, with a view to finalising the appointment as soon as possible there after, and should be forwarded to:

NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The Annual General Meeting of the Woodville District Baseball Club will be held on

SUNDAY 5th JUNE 2016 at the

CLUBROOMS, DRUMMOND AVE, FINDON

The Annual General Meeting will commence at 10.00 am.

Members are asked to be present from 9:30 am.

Nominations for positions on the Board shall be in writing and in the hands of the Baseball Director at least seven (7) days prior to the Meeting.

Nominations for positions on the Board will be accepted from the floor only where a written nomination has not been received.
